Downsizing

We are finally pulling apart our second bedroom. I'm sad because it's the one room in our apartment that is decorated, but we could really use the extra space and have absolutely no need for a second bedroom.

Heather helped me create the mini cards that have scripture masteries on them. They turned out really good!

I was sad to see this bed go, as well as the bedding. We had a bunch of embroidered decorative pillows on it as well, including an adorable one from Pottery Barn. But white decorative pillows and a dog with black hair don't go well together AT ALL!

The bed pulls out to be a king size, but even the amount of space it saves, the room is just too small to do projects in there.

I'm sad I took the pictures at night. Everything seems a bit dim and blurry.

Kimberly's Quilt

Clark's niece got married last week, and the girls all got together to make her a quilt.

To save on money we did the quilting part ourselves. It's pretty rough, but considering it was our first time and on a queen size quilt, I'd say we did pretty good!

Only Roxy was brave enough to attempt the quilting with me.

We embroidered her new last name and year in the corner.

We finished it in less than a month. It was fun to make, but I'm glad it's over.

Reiki

I did a Reiki session two days ago. It was interesting, and relaxing. She knows nothing about me other than the obvious but during the session she said she could sense that I kept a journal but had stopped. She told me I needed to start. She also said the same thing about singing. She said a few other things as well, that were strange/insightful. I don't know that I will blog for my journal long-term, but for now that's what I'm going to do. At least until I get around to buying a journal.

So I don't know a lot about Reiki, but basically she moved my energy around and got rid of any bad energy. She used her hands, an aura spray, and a few different tuning forks. Strange, I know, but I LOVE things that are out there. I find them fun and interesting. I didn't notice it help my health at all, where some other strange things I've been trying lately have, so I'm not sure if I'll continue, but I might give it another shot. Anything relaxing I am up for!
