Great Balls of Fire!!

So we are finally in our new place! I am LOVING the big kitchen! It was so great that it only took us a few hours to move!

In other news, Clark and I can't get enough of this video!   Enjoy!

Delays

Today was supposed to be the day of our move, but when the carpet cleaners came yesterday Clark found bed bugs.

Yup.  Bed Bugs!!!!!!!

So we now have to get the apartment sprayed down, and our complex supplies us with furniture, which has been nice, but at this location we are not taking any of it!!!  I'd rather sleep on the floor than run the risk of bed bugs.

So gross.

Did I mention I'm not looking forward to moving???  I just keep telling myself it's a bigger apartment....

I still haven't found a job yet.  I've had a few interviews, one of which went well, they said they'd start me on the 15th of LAST MONTH, and now they don't return my calls.  Weird.

I've still been able to keep busy though!  I've done a lot of hair since I've been back but I keep forgetting to take pictures!!  I even did purple hair last month.  That would've been a great picture.  Oh well.  Thankfully these girls reminded me!  Sorry about the cell phone pics.

This was a cut and style.  Her man was coming home and she wanted her hair curled for when she picked him up at the airport.  This definitely made me want longer hair again!  I love those curls!

My sister-in-law Krystal wanted a slightly more vibrant, natural looking red than her strawberry blond.  I added some blond in the front as well.

Gotta love the lighting of an apartment!  I put 3 different colors in her hair!  It was a lot of fun!

Moving

It makes me laugh to write yet another post about moving.  Clark and I are pros at moving.  It's all we ever do...

Clark got a promotion and will now be working his own apartment complex starting tomorrow.  It's only a few blocks away, not as nice a neighborhood, but a bigger apartment.  Yay!!

We probably won't actually move for a few weeks.  It's funny because I was just thinking of posting pictures of our place, but oh well.

Next time!

The Move

Clark and I moved again, but most of you already know that since we moved in July. Clark now works managing an apartment complex in Phoenix.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE living in Phoenix!

I live a block away from Last Chance, Arriba Mexican Grill, Pita Jungle, Biltmore Fashion Park, Harkins, Trader Joe's, and the list could seriously go on...

It's so nice not having to drive far to all my favorite places. Down side? We have to drive far to visit family and friends. So visitors welcome!

So why the move?

Clark's brother works for this same company and told Clark about the job opening. It really is ideal for us to have free rent while we are going to school and trying to figure out our future careers.

Moving wasn't really good for us at the time and so we basically threw away, sold, gave away all of our stuff. It basically sucked throwing everything away but at the same time it's nice not having anything. The hardest things to get rid of were my oil paintings. I took pictures of them all, minus one, before I chucked them. I would have MADE room for them except they were in the barn (long story) and they had mouse poop and pee all over them.

Yuck.

I had a picture/painting of the temple which was SO BAD if I took a picture of it all you'd see was black.

These aren't anything great, but they were some of my first oil paintings I ever did, about 10 years ago. So at least I still have my newer stuff which I will post later since some of them are gifts and I need to wait until after I give them.

These are all from classes I took.  I love this tulip, but the rest of the painting was unfinished, so I threw it away along with the rest.

This painting is unfinished completely, but it also had urine and poop on it, which is harder to tell in the pictures, but believe me, it did.

This is my all time favorite and I was pretty upset about this one.  This had the worst of the bowel movements, not including the temple, but I absolutely love Mont St. Michel.  It was so fun painting it.  This was my second painting I ever did so it'll be fun to paint it again 10 years later with more knowledge about color.

The clouds are my favorite.  It reminds me EXACTLY of France and how dreary it can get there!

And last but not least, the very first painting I ever did!!!  Don't ask me why I wanted to paint a whale!!!  I was young.  I was so proud of this painting!  Except for the red water.  I had it all done but the splash and my teacher pretty much painted the entire splash and the picture didn't have red water, and I asked her what was up with the red water, but you can only question a teacher so much.

See that white spot on the tail?  I'm not sure what that is.  Can mice poop white poop???  Pretty gross.

This move was definitely a bitter/sweet good-bye to the past, but I'm excited for the future and our new life in Phoenix!

More Changes...

So much has happened since I last posted, that for those of you who are really close to me, which is most of my readers, you already know. The property that Clark took care of was a great set up, but unfortunately after the husband died, a lot of things changed and it wasn't working out for us, or her, anymore. Clark and I moved in with his older sister Liz. We live about 30 minutes from Springfield now. It's been great being so close to family now, and Clark and I both look forward to starting school this fall. We are both going to work towards becoming a pharmacist. Clark's older brother is in a pharmacy program right now, and it sounds like a great career. We are both really excited about it. In the mean time Clark is working, and I am not. His job unfortunately is not in Springfield, making it impossible for me to keep my job since we share a car. I have been keeping myself somewhat busy, and I've done a few paintings, and have a few requests already for some more. But I'll post more on that later...

Packing, applesauce, and a NIGHTMARE!

We are still packing like CRAZY! Yay for owning TOO MUCH STUFF! Clark and I will be staying one month more, which means we'll be here for Christmas! (It's just too bad we got rid of our couch, t.v., kitchen table, and counter top)
Last Friday I conned mom into helping me make applesauce - aka mom making it for me while I try to make a mental note on everything she's doing so I can do it someday? (thanks mom) It took us most of the day and we made 15 jars! I am SO excited because there's NOTHING better than homemade applesauce!
Last night I had a NIGHTMARE. Cindy, it was mostly about you. I dreamed that you and Glenn weren't married yet, you were dating, and for years. You guys got in a tiny argument and Glenn eloped with someone else without saying anything. I was hysterical because in an instant you were no longer a part of our family. LUCKILY I woke up but I was still upset by it and I just want to say I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE IN OUR FAMILY!!!!
