Rejuvelac

Right now I'm doing a Candida Cleanse and to supplement it (and after talking to my very knowlegeable Aunt about all things healthy) I decided to try making Rejuvelac.  After sprouting and soaking wheat grains for a few days you save the juice and drink it.  It's very high in probiotics which is amazing because probiotic supplements are impossible for your body to absorb.

After one glass of it I could tell it was doing it's work on me.  It's some pretty amazing stuff.

It's also the GROSSEST THING I HAVE EVER DIGESTED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!!

I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE THE TASTE LET ALONE THE AFTER TASTE!!!!!

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE SOMEONE PUKE (IT'D MAKE A GREAT HALLOWEEN JOKE) JUST LET ME KNOW!!!  I'LL SEND YOU THE RECIPE!  :)

WAPF Chapter

I've been a little nervous about food in Missouri. Here I have a WONDERFUL cousin who gives me the best cow milk for FREE! An AMAZING friend who gives me some of the healthiest chicken eggs for free. Of course there will be cows and chickens in MO, but will they be healthy!? Today I contacted the group leader for the local chapter in Springfield, MO. He has a website here. Not only is there a great BEEF source in Springfield, but a RESTAURANT!!!! As in I DON'T HAVE TO COOK IT!!!! (not that I ever do cook thanks to my wonderful husband who happens to love it) For those of you who are wondering what WAPF is or what I mean by local chapter, let me explain. Weston A. Price Foundation is a non-profit charity founded to disseminate the research of Weston A. Price. (research done in the 30s showing that humans achieve perfect physical form and health when they eat nutrient-dense food) The foundation has three purposes: educate, research, and activate. There are local chapters all over the world. These groups have meetings and potlucks and an online community talk to each other about any questions and to list sources for finding the freshest food possible in your community or online. There is a cookbook to teach you how to eat and prepare food the way our ancestors did for thousands of years. I thought Heather was crazy when she first introduced this book to me, but all it took was a taste of some of her oatmeal that had me first hooked! I went to a local potluck and it was all over from there! I never ate so much good food in my life! I thought I about died and went to heaven! I had more energy after I ate, instead of being tired, and I ate their desserts (a lot actually) and I didn't get the usual sick to my stomach you get when you eat too much sweets. All this food talk is making me hungry. Later.
