WAPF Chapter

I've been a little nervous about food in Missouri. Here I have a WONDERFUL cousin who gives me the best cow milk for FREE! An AMAZING friend who gives me some of the healthiest chicken eggs for free. Of course there will be cows and chickens in MO, but will they be healthy!? Today I contacted the group leader for the local chapter in Springfield, MO. He has a website here. Not only is there a great BEEF source in Springfield, but a RESTAURANT!!!! As in I DON'T HAVE TO COOK IT!!!! (not that I ever do cook thanks to my wonderful husband who happens to love it) For those of you who are wondering what WAPF is or what I mean by local chapter, let me explain. Weston A. Price Foundation is a non-profit charity founded to disseminate the research of Weston A. Price. (research done in the 30s showing that humans achieve perfect physical form and health when they eat nutrient-dense food) The foundation has three purposes: educate, research, and activate. There are local chapters all over the world. These groups have meetings and potlucks and an online community talk to each other about any questions and to list sources for finding the freshest food possible in your community or online. There is a cookbook to teach you how to eat and prepare food the way our ancestors did for thousands of years. I thought Heather was crazy when she first introduced this book to me, but all it took was a taste of some of her oatmeal that had me first hooked! I went to a local potluck and it was all over from there! I never ate so much good food in my life! I thought I about died and went to heaven! I had more energy after I ate, instead of being tired, and I ate their desserts (a lot actually) and I didn't get the usual sick to my stomach you get when you eat too much sweets. All this food talk is making me hungry. Later.

Silhouettes

My sister and I finished! Over 100 cookies and I think it's not going to be enough!!!! They are too darn cute! And tasty too!
My favorite is her eyelashes! I thought I made them too big, but now that it's dry it really turned out cute! Don't forget to come to the concert so you can taste these gorgeous cookies!

SAVED!

I found my phone and the pictures were saved! Here's what we've been doing! We finished the cookies and I'll post more pictures tomorrow. In the meantime, enjoy my camera phone pictures!
Yesterday I helped make 128 faces of Stephanie & Christian with my mom and Melissa. Melissa made some the day before and dreamed about them. I did the same last night. I don't think I ever want to frost silhouettes again!!! But really, they are SO AMAZING!!! I took some amazing pictures of the process via my cricket phone which then died in the middle of sending it to my email. Pictures were lost, and now my phone is too! I can't call Melissa or my mom to see if they have it. Today we put the cookies together and I am making Nie Nie's Whole Wheat Granola & Pear Muffins. I would link you to Cuisine Nie, but really you shouldn't make them. You should come to the Mindy Gledhill Concert and purchase your Silhouette Cookies and Muffins. $15 at the door. Mountain View Auditorium this Saturday night. Come. Eat. Listen.

The Big Move

Well, I for sure need to get better at blogging because Clark and I are moving. Yep, that's right, moving. Since Clark's company is going downhill (really fast) and Clark has a better paying job offer in the cold, humid, lot's of bugs, state of Missouri....well, I'm sure you all can figure the rest! So after Thanksgiving we will be packing up and moving on out! Goodbye Arizona - Hello Missouri! Wish us luck!

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers-Bless Yore Beautiful Hide

It still makes me laugh that this is Clark's all time favorite scene! (for those of you that don't know me should know that I watched this movie so many times as a kid that my family hid the movie from me!)

Finian's Rainbow - Something Sort of Grandish

For those of you who REALLY know me and Clark you know that we're OBSESSED with musicals. This is my all time FAVORITE musical scene (not movie, the movie actually sucks). My cousin and I watched this clip everyday for a semester just for laughs. The more I watch it, the funnier it becomes! Truly, the most AMAZING choreography I've EVER seen! (P.S. check here tomorrow for Clark's favorite musical!)

Watch The Birdie!

Clark and I found a Badminton Kit at TJ Maxx and since it was $5, how could we NOT get it?! We love having something fun to do that doesn't cost anything; especially after conference and the talk about Walden Pond and the 4 Basic Necessities. Who needs a movie when you can play Badminton!
