Coco Avant Chanel

This movie came out last month in France so it'll probably be a year or so before the video stores have it. It's the story of Chanel before she was famous. I've read about 5 different books on her life for a report I did once upon of time. I'm so excited to see it! It got great reviews but no rating until it comes to the U.S. Cross your fingers!

Chicken Coup

Right now Clark and I are living with his sister Liz and her family. Her husband Jim just built a chicken coup, and it is SO COOL! No silly, that's not it! Keep scrolling down! This is just the before shot!

This is the almost finished product! He still has another awning he wants to put up! The door is my favorite part! Very 40's! He got the doors for free from a local church. They were a nasty muddy color before.

This is where the chicks will lay their eggs when they are big enough! Seriously reminds me of the Chip 'n Dale episode when they are hiding in an egg. I love those old shows! This is where they sleep! The boards are removable for easy cleaning!
I can't WAIT for the fresh eggs!

HAIR

I've changed my hair twice since moving to Missouri. This is hairdo number one. This is my current hairdo. I prefer the dark with the platinum better.

I can't help it!

Is it wrong to laugh at your husbands failings? I just can't help it! Clark has a second grade education. Imagine my joy when he passes all his subjects at a 12th grade level in his G.E.D. prep class. He passed at a 12th grade level in all his subjects but 2. In science, he passed at college levels. Yay! I barely passed science in highschool.... In punctuation (now seriously don't think I'm evil for laughing) he passed at a 3rd grade level! Of all the years of schooling he missed, is he going to study up on algebra, history, reading, language, social studies, or science?!? No! (seriously can't stop laughing) He gets to study apostrophes, periods, and exclamation points! Other than that he really did AMAZING! I just have to laugh that he did SO WELL on all the hard stuff and so HORRIBLE on the easiest!

Second Job

I started a second job a few weeks back. I do office work for The Cackle Hatchery. I get to listen to baby chicks all morning and I'm slowly learning the chicken lingo. Here is the creepiest chicken we sell. It's called a Turken and it is bald on its neck and under its wings. This photo doesn't do it justice. You can see veins popping out in real life.

Nickname

Some of you, okay, many of you call me Smels (at least that's how I write it. I guess it could be written as Smells, but...we'll just ignore that) Well, imagine my surprise when my niece walked in the room yesterday and addressed me as Smels. I responded and she was confused and told me she wasn't talking to me. I guess she calls her sister Valerie "Smells" as a nickname. Weird.

As You Like It

Good movie. Here's my favorite lines: JAQUES. I have neither the scholar's melancholy, which is emulation; nor the musician's, which is fantastical; nor the courtier's, which is proud; nor the soldier's, which is ambitious; nor the lawyer's, which is politic; nor the lady's, which is nice; nor the lover's, which is all these: but it is a melancholy of mine own, compounded of many simples, extracted from many objects: and, indeed, the sundry contemplation of my travels; in which my often rumination wraps me in a most humorous sadness. ROSALIND. A traveller! By my faith, you have great reason to be sad: I fear you have sold your own lands to see other men's; then to have seen much and to have nothing is to have rich eyes and poor hands. JAQUES. Yes, I have gained my experience. ROSALIND. And your experience makes you sad: I had rather have a fool to make me merry than experience to make me sad; and to travel for it too.
