More Changes...

So much has happened since I last posted, that for those of you who are really close to me, which is most of my readers, you already know. The property that Clark took care of was a great set up, but unfortunately after the husband died, a lot of things changed and it wasn't working out for us, or her, anymore. Clark and I moved in with his older sister Liz. We live about 30 minutes from Springfield now. It's been great being so close to family now, and Clark and I both look forward to starting school this fall. We are both going to work towards becoming a pharmacist. Clark's older brother is in a pharmacy program right now, and it sounds like a great career. We are both really excited about it. In the mean time Clark is working, and I am not. His job unfortunately is not in Springfield, making it impossible for me to keep my job since we share a car. I have been keeping myself somewhat busy, and I've done a few paintings, and have a few requests already for some more. But I'll post more on that later...

Spring

I am so excited for summer weather! The cold has finally left us! Clark has been busy helping our friends, Jason & Kristine, plant the 50+ trees Kristine ordered to add to their already huge orchard. This is a shot of one of the plum trees! Eating fruit is just about all that's on my mind right now. They have plums, apricots, peaches, cherries, pecans, pears, apples, and about 3 different varieties of each! Jealous much?!

Work has gotten a lot slower for me since the holidays. I had about 4 of my most regular clients move and 6 of my piano students move. That's a lot when you're first starting out. My salon is located at the mall, which is great for building my clientele, but since Christmas it's been absolutely dead. I'm still hopeful that things will pick up now that it's getting warm outside!

Clark took the semester off from school. Our transmission is about to die so he took a semester off and planned to re-do all the fencing on the property we live at, which he would get paid for. Our landlord unfortunately changed her mind about the fencing and doesn't want it touched until summer, knowing he took school off to work on it, and he probably won't get paid for it now either. It's been frustrating, but money is tight for everyone. So for the past 3 months Clark has been applying for anything and everything, hoping to work absolutely anywhere. He hasn't heard from anyone yet, and it's been a bit discouraging, but we're still hopeful something will turn up.

My friend Kendra and her 2 little girls are going to help me in my garden this year. I'm so excited for the company, and especially the help since my hands are not as functioning as they were last year, but I'm hoping all the fresh produce will help me out with that. Pictures to come!

Photo Shoot Prep

Not sure why it did the photos back to back, but I don't care enough to fix it. My friend April Whitlow designs clothes and has regular photo shoots for her design classes. You can see the pants she designed hanging on the wall in the background. Most of these shots are while I'm doing the up-do, so the hairstyle isn't finished. When the photo shoot pictures come in I'll post them. We had a lot of fun working on this!

Cassie's Wedding

My co-worker Cassie is getting married today. All morning was spent doing up-do's. Here are a few of the bridesmaids that I did. More pictures to come later.

piano

We got this free piano that was such an eye sore. Clark took it all apart and re-stained the whole thing. Such a pain but so worth it!! Unfortunately I deleted the before shot. But this is us putting it back together.
